Update 21th - today

Yes, at the moment I´m very slow and didn´t get it organized everyday to update my blog, I´m so sorry for this!

But there is still a lot of work everyday and of course my two men at home, who need both some familiar time!

So today I´ll show you my pictures of the last four days:

January 21th:

Mattis and dh after taking their nap, slowly awakening reading a book.

I love catching these moments, there is such a BIG, BIG bonding between them and I enjoy it so much to see how much they love each other!

January 22th:

Yeah! My new (old) lens I´d get at ebay finally arrived today!!!! It´s really an older one, but should be one of the best and sharpest Nikon has ever made, we will see... I have to practice a lot with it, because I have to take pics with manual settings.

January, 23th:

I´d caught Mattis in a dreamy moment yesterday, love especially the catchlight in his eyes!

January, 24th:

Today Mattis and I have had a short fotosession, and this is what we came up with:

Well, we´took a lot of pics, but most of them, I really can´t show them here because they are so crazy, hehe! Mattis loves to pose a bit silly with me for the camera ;)

Ok, as I told you I´d like to share some action links with you, which I use pretty much. First of all I have to give you this link from MCP ACTIONS

You can find there a bunch of amazing action packages, which you will use over and over again, I swear! I have Eye Doctor&Dentist and Magic Skin and can´t live without it! And I´ll buy definitely more there! They are gorgeous! She has a lot of freebies on her site too! You have to check it out!

Second I really love the rockin´actions at TotallyRad, they are so fun to work with and make your pics shine!

Ok, so far from me. As always it is let in germany and I have to get some sleep, because I have to go to work very early in the morning. That means I´ll make my blogroll tomorrow!

Pics from the last days!

Here are the photos I´d took the last days but didn´t get it managed to show them to you!

First Mattis was sick and then I´ve had a lot to work in hospital for a few nights, because many people there are sick too - like almost half of the world at the moment (so it seems to me!)

Well, hopefully you and your families are pretty healthy and will stay this!

My pictures, in no date order! Mostly portrait-shots from Mattis (I know, not THAT creative!), but I can´t help myself, he is my most loved photo object!!!

This was one of the days, he felt miserable - but ALWAYS hungry for chocolate, as you can see at his mouth. Just like his mom! ;)

Hm, I just recognized, that I´ve missed it to get my pic for tofay on my EHD. So it´s still at my laptop and I´ll have to show you tomorrow! Sorry, I´m the pure chaos! :/

*EDIT* Ooooh! I´d just read in the comments of my last post, that Michelle and Lilja gave me a blog-award! Wow! I´m speakless at the moment, I feel so unblelieveable honored, thank you so much girls!

I´m back!

Wow, after a long week with a very sick kid and a lot of work I´m finally back!
The whole week I´d took a photo a day and now I have to edit them and show you them in a few hours!

I´m sorry for being not around the last two days, but Mattis is so very sick at the moment, he has a big influenza with high fever.
I´d taken some photos the last days, but can´t post them before tomorrow, I have to take care for my lil´one at the moment.
Hopefully you understand this!
Miss you all, and can´t wait until I have the time to see all your beautiful shots!

Peek-a-boo!

Today we´ve played "Hide and seek" - one of Mattis favorite games at the moment! He was behind our curtains in the bedroom and was alway peeking if I was able to find him - way to cute!!!

Here he made a big "BOO!":

Oh, I can´t tell you often enough how much I love this little guy!!! We´ve had once again such a fun day together!

Ok, now I´ll tell you a something about my camera, lenses and so on, because there were some people who asked me about it (which I can´t really believe, I´m such a newbie in this!).

Well, as I told you yesterday, there isn´t really anything big or expensive (I wish it would be, lol!). I took my pictures with my Nikon D40, which is pretty good for beginners in DSLR but with all the technic goes so fast it is one of the older cameras from Nikon with only 7MP. But I really love it, because I have to learn so much about settings, etc - for this my D40 is fab! I´m planning (and can´t get it fast enough!!!) to upgrade on a D300 or a D700 this summer (at the moment I prefer the D300) - I´m still waiting if the prices will fall a bit, will see...

Then I´d get to christmas an external flash (by Metz - I don´t know how I could have live without it before, sooo useful!!) from hubby, and have three lenses, but mostly I´m using my Sigma DC 55-200mm 1:4-5,5 and love it! Last week I´d bought another one at Ebay, it´s a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 MF AIS, which is an older one, but should be one of the best lenses from Nikon, very sharp and fab for photos with natural light. I´m excited and can´t wait to get it!

I shoot my pics in RAW or JPEG (mostly JPEG at the moment) and edit them in Lightroom 2.0 or PS CS3 - I love both of them so much and really do not know how to live without them too!!!

There are a lot of great photo actions for PS available, some are pretty expensive, but soooo useful!!! If you are interested let me know and I´ll post tomorrow some links.

And I´m reading a lot of books about photography, camera handling and photo editing. There are some fab ones outthere!

Well, as I told you - nothing gorgeous! I´m still learning so much with my camera, everything is so new - I hope that my pics will get better and better in this year with this project, I get so much inspiration from all your beautiful blogs! TY!

Family day

Today we´d visit my parents to lunch and then drove to my sister and her little family because she had has her birthday on January 6th. You can call it "One-day-vacation", we don´t see them all THAT often, because they live not near us, so we´d so much fun and really enjoed the time! As you can see above! ;)

Here you can see Mattis and my little nephew, they are nearly the same age and so unbelieveable cute together! Although they don´t see each other often seems there to be a strong bonding between them. It just makes happy to see this!!!
I´m really sorry that it looks so blurry, I´d made a couple of beautiful pics from this two little guys together and noticed AFTER that, that I´ve had totally wrong settings PLUS the batteries from my flash were empty :(. This pic was the only one which wasn´t that noisy like the other. Argh! So frustrating!
Ok, will make only a little bloground today, because I have to get out of bed VERY EARLY tomorrow, 4 am in european time - so that means only a few hours left.

Starting another project today!

Hi girls!

Well, today was great. We´d spent a lot of family time together and in the afternoon my brother in law came to a visit and brought us some "Berliner" - no, not the people from Berlin, "Berliner" is called a cake which is superdelicious, I think they comes near to your donuts, and they are fat and sugar pure! Look above, aren´t they just yummy?

Mattis really loved them today, as you can see here:

Lol, he can´t get enough of sweet things, definitely like his mother! :-/

But my problem is, that I just have to THINK about eating one and the next day my weight shows 1 pound more! Honestly!!!

So, I´d controlled my weight today after looong time and was SHOCKED! I´m feeling so horrible at the moment and decided that I have to change something! I have to loose some pounds!

So, here you can see my next project, starting today:

I hope, I´ll be motivated as in my 365 project!!! *fingers are crossed*
